How important is your logo?

Reason #1: You get what you pay for.
If you pay $50 for your logo, you will most likely get a cheesy clip art graphic that is thrown in with a basic font with your company name. If you hire a professional designer (wink, wink) the amount of design time, research and talent that goes into a logo design, is quite extensive. I often have ‘swiss cheese’ brain at the end of the day while working on an intense logo project. Those creative juices can take a toll on the brain! Big difference between taking 30 minutes versus 10+ hours. I also give more than one concept, normally 4-5 original concepts each unique in style, graphics, colors and font choice.

Reason #2: Customer Service.
Good luck contacting anyone from the $50 logo customer service department to get assistance with modifications or if you have any questions with your logo. Normally they only include one concept and they are hard to get ahold of. With all of my logo designs, I include up to two modifications of two concepts and final completion of one concept. After completion, your logo is sent to you in a variety of different file formats for you to use freely. I am available M-F if you have ANY questions or concerns along the way.

Reason #3: The importance of your brand.
How important is it that your audience understands what you do from your logo? A company logo is your company’s face to the world. It’s one of the first things a potential will see when they visit your website or your product packaging. A unique logo is one of the main ways people remember your company. It should give those who see it a feeling for what your company does just by looking at it. It should give people a sense of trust to buy from your company.

Reason #4: Know your competitors.
Research your biggest competitors to see what they do and then try to differentiate yourself without going too crazy. Hire someone that knows what they are doing. You don’t want your logo to look like it was designed by your family friend that knows nothing about design.

Moral of the Story: Don’t skimp out on your logo! It tells everything about who you are and what you do.
